March Wrap-up: Part I

22 Mar

What a month! I attended two professional workshops, had a few guest blogs posted at Self Employed Central, and I even nabbed my first freelance indexing gig. But, just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, I opened up my email and found a note from Editor Rhett Iseman Trull accepting two of my poems for issue 10 of Cave Wall.

Needless to say, I got a little vaclemped. I still am; after all, this is the first time my poems will appear in a venue other than the Web. That I get to make my print debut in Cave Wall – a journal that has published Dan Albergotti, Sherman Alexie, Sandra Beasley, Claudia Emerson, Jeffrey Harrison, John Hoppenthaler, Al Maginnes, Natasha Trethewey, and Jillian Weise (to name just a few) — well, it’s an absolute honor.

Another Day, Another Post

My second post for Self Employed Central just went live! Check out “Linking-up with Libraries: Guides to Small-Business Resources on the Web” here.

Two for One

Today was a pretty great day: the library instruction class I taught went off without a hitch and my first guest blog went live on Self Employed Central. Not too shabby.
